Introduction to Training with EXTEND Exercise

EXTEND Exercise - Changing the lives of Older People and those with disabilities
Having evolved from the "Women's League of Health and Beauty" and the Fitness League. EXTEND charity was established in 1976 and has for many years provided training courses for those wishing to engage in the delivery of exercise sessions for Older Adults and People with Disabilities.

EXTEND Exercise entered a new era in 2010, having joined forces with awarding body VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) to deliver a high quality qualification. This accreditation ensures that our training is valid and consistent with the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) guidelines.

This recognition has raised EXTEND's professional image and enabled the EXTEND Exercise teacher to compete, in the provision of exercise programme delivery right to the heart of the local community.

EXTEND Exercise is a leading trainer of providing Exercise to Music for the over 60s and those less able of any age. With over 30 years of training experience we are a specialist in our field. We train people to offer high quality training and qualifications to ensure that the exercises our teachers provide are fun but at the same time safe.

Most importantly EXTEND Exercise classes are a fun way of keeping fit and are a great way to make new friends. "We help to put smiles on faces and air into lungs".
